Each March, the Hawaiian Ride for Youth brings together 140 dedicated cyclists and their support crew for an extraordinary 700km journey from Albany to Perth. Over 4.5 days, riders travel across three routes — Wheatbelt, Inland, and Coastal — visiting towns and high schools throughout WA’s South West, Great Southern, and Wheatbelt regions. Along the way, they engage with students to spark vital conversations about positive mental health while raising funds to support Youth Focus.

This year’s riders passed through communities including Gnowangerup, Katanning, Narrogin, Frankland River, Bridgetown, Collie, Walpole, Pemberton, and Busselton, before converging in Mandurah for the final leg into Perth. Last Saturday, they were warmly welcomed home at the Hawaiian Ride for Youth Welcome Ceremony, celebrating not only the completion of their journey but also the impact they’ve made across regional WA.

The purpose of the Ride is clear: to raise awareness and funds for Youth Focus, ensuring young West Australians have access to life-changing mental health support. Its vision is to cultivate a safe, supportive, and fun community that champions better mental health for young people.

With a proud legacy and history, the Hawaiian Ride for Youth continues to inspire. Guided by its Strategic Plan 2023–26, the event is shaping the next chapter in its story — building on its strong foundation to create an even greater impact for future generations.
