As part of the new Product Design and Distribution Obligations (DDO), insurers are now required to create written Target Market Determinations (TMDs) for all  products which are accompanied by a PDS.

A TMD helps you understand the class of customers an insurance policy has been designed for, considering their needs, objectives, and financial situations. A TMD does not replace the terms and conditions, nor the disclosures made, in a PDS.

From 5th October 2021, as Brokers, Avoca is required to make available Target Market Determinations (TMD) to our customers. The Design and Distribution obligations are intended to help consumers obtain appropriate financial products by requiring issuers and distributors to have a consumer centric approach to the design and distribution of products.

Before making a decision to buy insurance, you should  consider whether it is appropriate for your specific circumstances and read the relevant Product Disclosure Statement (PDS) and Target Market Determination (TMD).

A copy of the PDS and TMD can be obtained by following the links to the insurer, underwriting agent or premium funder below.
