Avoca Insurance Brokers has elected to voluntarily adopt and comply with the Insurance Broking Code of Practice which is published by the National Insurance Brokers Association of Australia (NIBA) and administered by the Financial Ombudsman Service (FOS).
The Code is intended to promote good relations between insurance brokers, their clients, insurers and other participants within the insurance industry. It also promotes efficiency in transactions by describing standards of good practice and the level of service to be expected from members.

Insurance providers within Australia, such as underwriters and underwriting agencies, have a code of practice which they may be required to comply with. All major insurance providers within Australia are signatories to this code. The General Insurance Code of Practice is published by the Insurance Council of Australia (ICA) and administered by the Financial Ombudsman Service (FOS).
The General Insurance Code of Practice sets the minimum standard for what people can expect from their insurance provider the moment they take out a policy to its conclusion.
