Being a good corporate citizen is important to us as we believe profits can still be made while caring for others and the environment. All at Avoca are committed to Avoca's triple bottom line agenda and now that we are in our fifth year we are pleased to be able to state that we continue to achieve the goal of serving the community and our particular focus has been our continued commitment to Youth Focus in the initiative of Ride for Youth.

Avoca has committed for a number of years to be a team sponsor of the Ride for Youth. A ride of over 700 kilometres from Albany to Perth to raise funds for Youth Focus, a local charity committed to the prevention of youth suicide, depression and self harm.

With effect from May 2010 Charles Elders has been appointed to the Board of Youth Focus and will further enhance the commitment to the cause.

Our founder Charles Elders has been one of the riders in 2005,2006,2007, 2008, 2009 and has just completed the 2010 ride. This involves both training hard for the actual ride and also spending time raising funds for the charity.   In March 2011 Charles will be facing the challenge again and we will be seeking sponsorship for that ride.   Thank you for all the support received for such a worthwhile cause.
